The CDC recommends the following actions when human infection with H1N1 influenza (swine flu) is confirmed in a community.

Home isolation

  • Patients who develop flulike illness  should be strongly encouraged to self-isolate in their home for 7 days after the onset of illness or at least 24 hours after symptoms have resolved, whichever is longer.
  • Patients who have difficulty breathing or shortness of breath or who are believed to be severely ill should seek immediate medical attention.
  • If the patient must go into the community, he or she should wear a face mask
  • When coughing, sneezing, talking, or breathing patients should cover mouth.
  • While in home isolation, patients and other household members should be given infection control instructions, including frequent hand washing with soap and water.
  •  Use alcohol-based hand gels (containing at least 60% alcohol)
  •  Patients with H1N1 influenza should wear a face mask when within 6 feet of others at home.

Household contacts who are not ill

  • Remain home at the earliest sign of illness.
  • Minimize contact in the community to the extent possible.
  • Designate a single household family member as caregiver for the patient to minimize interactions with asymptomatic persons.

Social distancing

  • Large gatherings linked to settings or institutions with laboratory-confirmed cases should be canceled (eg, sporting events or concerts linked to a school with cases)
  • Avoid going to Overcrowded Places like Malls, Supermarkets, Bazaars, Theatre etc

Treatment For Swine Flu

Homeopathy - Homoeopathy (=homeopathy) is an alternative method of treatment, based on the nature's law of Cure, namely 'Like Cures Like'. The truth of this law was discovered by a German Physician Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in 1796, and has been verified experimentally and clinically for 200 years. Homeopathy is the revolutionary, natural medical science. Homeopathy is gentle and effective system of medicine. The remedies are prepared from natural substances  and work by stimulating the body's own healing power.

Treatment is largely supportive and consists of bedrest, increased fluid consumption,

When "colds" appear in a family let all those who are unaffected take Ars. 3c thrice daily and let the patients take Influ. 30c every hour or two. -  Dr. Clarke

Homeopathy was successful in treating the flu epidemic of 1918 and can provide answers to questions about the 2009 Swine Flu. Homeopathy can both prevent and cure swine flu, without any side effects.  Medicines  can be used to reduce sufferings of patient. Homeopathy can provide quick and inexpensive relief for symptoms of the Swine flu.
